As TooManyGames continues to expand, we’re seeking staff members to support the smooth operation of the convention, ensuring a great experience for attendees, guests, vendors, and everyone involved.

Who are the Defenders?

You are an integral part of how the convention operates and we can't do this without you. Your role/s and responsibilities will be based on the department you request/are assigned to and will vary based on the needs of the department. Each of these responsibilities are subject to change and may require some more experience than others in order for you to be placed in that department, based on the needs of the position/s.

Defenders must be:

Please read all of the following information before applying. If you have any questions, please e-mail [email protected] before submitting your application: 

  • Defenders must be 18 years of age or older. 
  • Defenders should be aware that if selected for a position, you will be required to complete all necessary employment paperwork, including verifying your identity and eligibility to work in the United States, as well as any applicable tax forms relevant to your position. Anyone who is not able to provide this information would not be eligible for a position. 
  • Defenders may be asked to assist other areas beyond their original sign up and be willing to answer any questions from attendees. 
  • Defenders are required to follow the same rules as attendees, please make sure you review our harassment policy in advance.
  • Defenders cannot share their badge with anyone else.
  • Defenders will be given a special badge and t-shirt to wear during the convention.
  • Defenders should treat all staff and attendees with respect, courtesy and dignity.
  • Defenders should be able to pass a background check

Please Note! Even if you have been a Defender in the past, everyone needs to fill out the application again each year for updated availability and contact information.

Defender Shifts

TooManyGames Hours:


Friday: 2 PM to 10 PM
Saturday: 11 AM to 10 PM
Sunday: 11 AM to 5 PM

Tuesday 6/24/25, Wednesday 6/25/25, Thursday 6/26/25:

These are set up days. We will have limited availability for shifts during this time.

Defender Ranks

Department Head

Not Accepting Applications

Department head positions are invite-only and will be offered to returning Defenders if they become available. All DH positions are currently filled for 2025.

Specialist

Taking Applications

Specialist positions are contract positions that include strategic planning and execution of activations for the show, relevant to a certain department. All Specialists must be familiar with TooManyGames and have at least 2 years of relevant work experience, with no exceptions. Benefits will include a contract stipend, a hotel room during the show at a local hotel (shared with another Specialist), a 3-day badge, a staff shirt, and 20% off at the TMG merchandise booth.

We will have a very limited number of these positions available in the following departments for Specialists:

  • A/V
  • Indie Game Showcase
  • Guest Handler - must have worked TMG 2023 or 2024, no exceptions
  • Vendors 

Crew Members

Accepting Applications

Crew members will be hourly, supporting the team on show floor positions. All crew members will be onboarded and coordinated through our 3rd party staffing agency if accepted. Benefits include: paid hourly wage, 3 day badge (over 10 hours) or 1 day badge (under 10 hours), staff shirt, and 20% off the TMG merchandise booth.  We will have reduced-rate staff blocks available for booking at local hotels for any accepted Crew Members, but they will be self-paid.  

We are accepting applications for Crew Members in the following areas below.

  • Cosplay
  • Indie Game Showcase
  • Panels / Lines
  • Extra Relief 
  • Merchandise
  • Registration 
  • Security - must have relevant experience
  • Tabletop
  • Vendors

All applications received will be reviewed on a rolling basis and any candidates selected will be notified. Candidates that are not selected will be notified by e-mail at the end of each month. The application deadline is June 1st, 2025. We cannot accept any applications after this point in time.
